Trip(s) out to CO/ moving fun

Cullen remembered this door at one of our stops (in Ellis, KS) traveling between CO and KS.

Yeah! New carpet in the CO house!

A glimpse at our moving madness. Bonus points if you can spot the baby!

First food! Rice cereal. We broke down at 5 1/2 months. This momma was willing to try anything to get you to sleep more than 2 hr stretches at night.  BTW, it didn't work. BUT you love to eat:)

Last picture outside our KC house... This time as a family of 5!

Luckily Coco made the trip out to CO with me and Patch to help unpack. Here's a glimpse of the mess. Ugh.

Kitchens are the worst!

Boxes everywhere!

On the drive out to CO, we stopped in Victoria, KS to see the newly named minor basilica St. Fildelis. Beautiful!

Patch and me out in front. It's massive!

The red and yellow umbrella signifies it's honor as a minor basilica.

What a start to our summer! Yikes.

First trip out to CO

The little Spiderman door at the DQ in Ellis, KS. Cullen has been talking about this place! We had to stop!

3 boys and new carpet!

We had a whirlwind trip out to CO! Got a lot done, with the help of my parents! Luckily the house was in pretty good shape... We were nervous because of the walk thru  we had in March...

Summer fun

It's been fun living near friends! Here we're at Mason's bday party at Gage Park.

Gage Park train selfie with Finn.

Field Day!

Sweet Cullen told me his favorite station was the balloon toss... Because I was there. :)

Day out with Thomas

Hot day on the train!

Selfie

Finn keeps track of how many police motorcycles he's seen... Now he needs to keep track of police humvees.

Thomas the train.

Patch waiting for big brothers to get off the bounce house!

We stopped to see GG before heading home.

We took the boys to Baldwin to see Thomas the Train. Finn was really excited. I had taken Cullen when he was 2 (and I was pregnant with Finn). It was a fun day, even tho Cullen thought he was too old to ride Thomas. :)

Color Run 5k

Emily and me before..

... And after!  It was a hot one... But so much fun!

Our cheering section! :)

Shatto Dairy Farm Tour

These city kids weren't impressed with the smell of the barn. Lol

Finn was the first the milk Fuzzy.

Cullen milked her after a little prompting.

Clare and Finn with a calf.

Clare wasn't sure about milking either..

I wanted to try it! :)

We had a fun cousin day at Shatto Dairy! I think the highlight was tasting all their flavored milks. Root beer was still the boys' fav.

Patch is 5 months old

He's found his toes!

He gets so many kisses a day!

He's getting stronger!

Patrick is changing so much now! He continues to be such a smiley baby! It amazes me how he really goes with the flow... He's starting to scoot around a little now. Won't be long and he'll be crawling!  He's also really interested in our food. Don't tell Dr. Clement, but we have him a little taste of ice cream. One of the few perks of being the third child I suppose!

Leavenworth National Cemetery

A shot of the cemetery before the Boy Scouts put a flag at every tombstone.

After.....

Every one of the 36,000+ graves is now marked with a flag. Some buried here include six Medal of Honor recipients and 12 Native Americans. The first person was buried here in 1886 and this cemetery is listed in the Natuonal Register of Historic Places. It was a fantastic way to spend a rainy Saturday morning!
